Jenny Taylor, Owner | Comfort Food Queen
"I love food that makes me feel good. Mashed potatoes, fried chicken and mac & cheese. Seconds turn into thirds. Thirds turn into fourths..."
Like all business owners, Jenny wears many hats. She oversees the strategic positioning for each individual client, spear-heading every creative and interactive direction from the initial concept to the actual project production. The vision for Red House Group? To build personal connections and tell the client's story. Prior to starting RHG, Jenny served as Vice President of Client Services at a large advertising agency, cutting her teeth on multi-million dollar real estate accounts. Before the agency world, she enjoyed a 10-year career in graphic design and commercial printing sales. Jenny's competitive and entrepreneurial spirit has allowed her to create a thriving and growing company at RHG. Not to mention, lasting clients that keep coming back for more.
Holly Ware | Steady Eddy
"I look at the menu every time and I always order the same thing. Egg and cheese sandwich with hash browns. Why change a good thing?"
As second in command, Holly's role ensures Red House Group can handle any design or interactive project under the sun. Her detail-oriented attitude brings a proven history of marketing expertise with a track record of pleasing the most challenging of clients. Holly received her BA from North Carolina State University and began her career as a Marketing Coordinator. Since then, she has consistently sprinted up the ladder, clinching a promotion in every job she's held. Dare we say, "Steady Eddy wins the race?"
Rodica Simon | Make Mine “Aller!”
“There’s nothing like a jambon beurre sandwich on a crackly-crusted baguette from a takeout window in Paris. Hands down, nothing can touch it!”
Rodica is a much lauded, award-winning designer whose list of accolades could fill more pages than the “Restaurants” section of the Manhattan Yellow Pages. In addition to a steamer trunk full of gold statuettes, she also brings to Red House a broad range of skills; from graphic design and art direction to illustration, painting and printmaking.
There’s an old adage: “Those who can, do, those who can’t, teach,” and Rodica’s career is illustrative of just how untrue that statement is. In addition to her tenure on both the agency and client side – Teleflex, RTI International, the Liaison Group and Charlotte Design Group, for example – Rodica also shared her expertise, and enthusiasm, with undergraduate and graduate students at NC State University. The truth is, some people love what they do so much that they can’t help telling everyone about it!
In addition to superb skills and varied experience, Rodica also brings an international flavor to the Red House “fare,” having received her Diploma in Graphic Design from the prestigious Ion Vidu National College of Art in Timisora, Romania. Papanasi, anyone? Rodica also earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from UNC and a Master of Art and Design from NC State University.
Brenda White | Just Grill it!
"Grilled Chicken? Yes, please. Grilled potatoes? Even, better. Just a little bit of grill turns a nothing into a something. 10-day old spaghetti? Grill it!"
Brenda has been with Red House Group since opening day and has worked with owner, Jenny Taylor for over thirteen years. Brenda is an emotionally charged designer with the ability to create designs that connect with the end client. She is a perfectionist when it comes to details and she is extremely organized, which helps provide virtually flawless products for clients. Brenda holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Communication Arts/Graphic Design from East Carolina University School of Art. She is an award-winning art director with fifteen years of experience and a strong background in art direction, conceptualization, logo design, collateral design, brand development, campaign development and typography.
Matt McGarry | Just Desserts
"Walk into any diner and there is nothing more beautiful than the dessert case. My favorite diner fare? A cup of diner coffee and big ol' slice of key lime. I like to eat healthy, you see."
Matt is responsible for creating the voice of the brands we develop. He is a mastermind at getting into the heads of consumers and creating compelling messages that keep us reading more. Matt began his advertising career at Ally & Gargano in New York City. It was there, delivering the mail to industry icons like Patrick Kelly, Ron Berger, Paul Cappelli, Mike Tesch and Helyane Spivak, that his love of the business was born. He’s been writing ever since. The list of brands that he has helped build includes many you'll probably recognize: Pepsi, Coke, Continental Airlines, Frito-Lay, Pizza Hut, Bank of America, Tide and Folgers, to name just a few.
Ben Brockwell | Brinner
"Good old fashioned breakfast for dinner - bacon, ham, eggs over easy, hash browns and maybe get hoity toity with a croissant or two."
Ben has been a valued addition to the Red House Group family. Ben graduated from St. Andrews Presbyterian College in 1965 with a BS degree in Business Marketing. In 1991, Ben started his own small format printing company and later sold the company in 1998 to pursue a full time career in commercial printing sales. Ben brings the same customer-focused philosophy to Red House Group. Ben's printing clientele has allowed RHG to offer unbeatable printing prices to the design clients we serve.
